This week, our Day of Mindfulness will take place in a different setting.
Instead of gathering at Reedy Creek Park, we will meet at First Ward Park in Uptown Charlotte, where we will offer a meditation and peace circle before the No Kings Rally.
Together, we will come into stillness in the midst of collective movement—offering grounded presence, compassionate awareness, and a field of calm within a larger gathering.
What to Expect
A 25-minute guided sitting meditation
A short reflective reading
A Dharma sharing to help ground our intentions
Silent and collective presence in a public space
Timing
Arrival: 10:30 AM
Meditation begins: 10:45 AM
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin together with stability and ease.
Practicing Together
In times like these, people gather with both hope and pain—with care, but also with grief, anger, and fear.
Our intention is not to take sides, but to support the conditions for clarity, compassion, and non-violence. We practice to remain steady, so that wholesome intentions—such as peace, understanding, and shared humanity—can be nourished.
This offering is open to all, regardless of background or views. There is no pressure to participate in the rally. As a sangha, we are not here as a political instrument, but as a space of presence—walking the path of mindful awareness in the world as it is.
Offered in the Spirit of Dana
This gathering is offered freely, in the spirit of generosity. There is no expectation to donate. Your presence is already a contribution. If you wish to support the Sangha, please use the button below.
We look forward to practicing together.
